All That I Bleed is a progressive metal band formed in 1991 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Originally known as Dreamline, the band was founded by vocalist Leonardo Rivera and drummer Carlos De Jesús, alongside guitarist Oscar Quintana and bassist Nelson Varas. Early releases, including the 1992 demo Horizons, helped establish the band within Puerto Rico’s emerging metal scene.
Following key lineup additions — guitarist Paolo Capeles (1993) and bassist Jorge Venegas (1994) — the band gained recognition for their intricate compositions and emotionally charged live performances, sharing stages with notable acts in the local scene. In 1999, their contribution to Through Different Eyes: A Tribute to Fates Warning expanded their international reach.
Reemerging as All That I Bleed in 2001, the band released their debut album Dying to Remember (Silvertone Records, 2002) to strong reviews in the U.S. and Europe. The track “Gods” appeared on the ProgPower USA III Compilation(2003), and in 2003 the band launched the album’s promotional campaign, opening for former Impellitteri vocalist Rob Rock — a milestone that introduced them to wider audiences.
Subsequent lineup changes, including the departure of founding guitarist Oscar Quintana and drummer Carlos De Jesús, led to a restructured lineup and the beginning of work on a second album. The musicians involved in those early sessions included Leonardo Rivera (vocals), Jorge Venegas (bass), Luigi Guilbot (guitars), Iván Velázquez (guitars), Arturo Rivera (drums), and Juan M. Fernández (keyboards), laying the creative foundation for the band’s next chapter.
Progress on the album was slowed by personal and logistical challenges, including Leonardo Rivera’s relocation to Florida, extending the album’s development over many years. Despite the delays, the material continued to evolve, shaped by the band’s dedication and long-term vision.
In 2015, Rivera appeared in the documentary Distorted Island, highlighting Puerto Rico’s metal culture. In 2025, the sudden passing of longtime bassist Jorge Venegas deeply impacted the band, reaffirming their commitment to complete the long-awaited album in his honor.
More than three decades since their inception, All That I Bleed stands as a testament to perseverance, legacy, and the enduring spirit of progressive metal.
